Our Beginner Course at Art Of Ground Games is the ideal starting point for adults (14 and older) to start on their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey! In this course, we lay the foundation with the fundamentals of BJJ, ensuring you have basic knowledge of the essential positions. Our re thoughtfully structured, beginning with a jiu-jitsu-based warm-up to get you into the zone.

Following this, we dive into our core positions, where you'll receive hands-on and personal guidance. And the best part? Beginner Course

This course covers essential techniques from major positions like closed and open guard, half guard, side control, back control, and mount. It's designed to build a strong foundation for your jiu-jitsu journey.

The course's goals

Introduce students to our main positions and most common situations. Build basic coordination and learn jiu-jitsu movements. Understand our core concepts and ideas on our positions.

Where is the course held?

The next beginner course is in our brand new academy in 24GG Sörnäinen. Address is Suvilahdenkatu 10 E, 3. kerros. 00500 Helsinki.

What time and days the course is?

Tuesdays and thursdays at 19.30.

What equipment should I have?

Jiu-Jitsu Gi/Kimono recommended. We will help you to purchase one. However, shorts and a T-shirt are acceptable for the entire beginner course. Coaches and teaching will be in the Gi.

Is there an age limit?

Participants must be at least 14 years old, and minors require parental consent to join.

In what language the course is held?

The course is conducted in English, but our instructors are multilingual and can also speak Finnish among other languages.

Is it safe?

Maintaining a safe environment is our utmost priority. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that harms others.
