I visited the bare-kimono fighting class with leg locks in December. It was my first time in Finland and it was an amazing experience. Great atmosphere and training partners. I learned a very useful technique from Coach Juho. 5/5.

I've trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at three different gyms in Helsinki, and AOGG has undoubtedly been the best in my experience. The classes are fun and the atmosphere is very friendly.

The best BJJ academy in Helsinki. The community is truly welcoming, and the coaches are exceptionally skilled and supportive. They offer a wide variety of training sessions, ensuring everyone can find a schedule that suits them. After attending a few classes, my only regret is not signing up sooner.

I visit AOGG whenever I'm in Helsinki, and the open mats are always fantastic! The mat is always full of relaxed, technical guys, and also big, tough guys if that's what you're looking for :)

I highly recommend checking them out!

The best BJJ gym in Helsinki! I started with the beginner's course and was hooked immediately. Excellent facilities and a great variety of classes, from wrestling to leg locks. Plus, the camaraderie and instructors are top-notch.

Excellent gym. This is my second time visiting, and as always, it's an amazing gym with top-notch members. Very welcoming and in a great location in the city center.

If you're like me, you've always wanted to try BJJ but aren't sure about wrestling, have zero experience, only know how to punch, and are a little anxious, this is the place for you. Super friendly, open, relaxed, and welcoming. Clear Finnish English and the best that martial arts has to offer.

A fantastic and relaxed atmosphere, both during training sessions and open mat sessions! Well-structured classes (always in English, in case anyone doesn't speak Finnish). Excellent location in the heart of Helsinki. A welcoming environment. People here are eager to learn and have fun while developing their skills.

I participated in a beginner's course in November at AOGG Erottaja. The people were very friendly, the instructor was excellent and knew how to explain concepts to a beginner like me (shout out to Juho!), and the mats were spotless. The atmosphere was great (6/5).

Absolutely! You don't need to be in "peak condition" to start. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fantastic way to improve your fitness, and the training is designed to let you progress at your own pace.

To start as beginner or in No-GI classes, you only need comfortable indoor sportswear (t-shirt and shorts/sweatpants without zippers or buttons) and a water bottle. Dental guards are highly recommended. For BJJ with GI, you will need a BJJ Gi (uniform).

No problem. Life happens! If you miss a class, just join the next one. We review techniques regularly, so you won't get left behind.

Yes. Safety is our priority. All training is supervised, and we teach everyone from day one to respect their partners and to "tap out" early to prevent injuries.
