NoGi JIU-JITSU

Open to all belt levels. Perfect for those who have completed the beginner course or have previous experience.

What is NoGi Jiu-Jitsu?

No-gi Jiu-Jitsu is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practiced without the traditional gi. Instead of a jacket and pants, you train in shorts and a tight-fitting rashguard. Without fabric grips, the game becomes faster, more movement-based, and focused on body control.

In no-gi, you use underhooks, overhooks, head position, and tight pressure to control your partner. Everything is about timing, speed, and staying one step ahead. The pace is higher, the scrambles are real, and small mistakes matter more.

Training no-gi builds:

  • Clean wrestling entries and takedown defense
  • Strong clinch and body-lock control
  • Quick transitions and problem-solving under pressure
  • A sharper sense of balance, movement, and reaction

At AOGG, we teach no-gi with a clear structure, simple language, and a focus on real progress. You don’t need to be explosive to be good — you just need consistency and good basics.

No-gi gives you a modern, dynamic style of Jiu-Jitsu. If you want a faster game and a fresh challenge, this is where it happens.

(also known as No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission wrestling, or ADCC) is a style of martial art and combat sport similar to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), but practiced without the traditional gi (martial arts uniform). In No-Gi, practitioners wear shorts and a rashguard (a moisture-wicking shirt) or spats (tight-fitting pants).
